SUMMARY:2025 Sandwell Trident Open Meet
DESCRIPTION:The SA Trident Open Meet is one of the standout highlights of the club’s annual calendar. Swimmers of all ages\, from the youngest beginners to the most experienced competitors\, come together to compete in a friendly and supportive environment.  \n\n\n\nThis event provides an excellent opportunity for participants to gain valuable experience by testing their skills across a wide range of swimming events. Beyond the races themselves\, the meet creates an exciting atmosphere filled with the thrill of competition and camaraderie.  \n\n\n\nIt plays an important role in fostering a strong sense of club spirit while offering each swimmer meaningful chances for personal growth\, development\, and achievement throughout the day. \n\n\n\nSpectators\n\n\n\nEntry fee: £6 for a session or £10 for the day. Passes will be issued to officials\, and each club will receive one additional pass.   \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT :- Spectators\, team managers\, and other volunteers will be redirected to the nearby Harry Mitchell Leisure Centre. Address: Broomfield\, Smethwick B67 7DH \n\n\n\nThe Sandwell Aquatics Centre is a 15-minute walk from the Harry Mitchell Leisure Centre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTo prevent traffic congestion around the centre\, we encourage parents with swimmers aged over 14 to drive directly to the Harry Mitchell Centre and then walk to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.   \n\n\n\nThere is also a possibility for some off-street parking areas.  \n\n\n\nOfficials/ coaches/ team managers/ volunteers \n\n\n\nPlease use the side entry to access the pool. There will be breakfast\,  lunch\, and some light refreshments served throughout the day.  \n\n\n\nSwimmers\n\n\n\nNOTE : SA swimmers can also enter via the side entry.Please pack a healthy lunch and snacks\, plus plenty of water\, but NO NUTS or nut products – You are allowed to use their phones and tablets on poolside/ balcony\, but photography and video recording are strictly prohibited.  \n\n\n\nPlease remember that appropriate footwear is required for those seated on the balcony. Additionally\, we kindly request that all swimmers bring a towel with them when coming down to poolside. \n\n\n\nLive Results \n\n\n\nA QR code will be provided for you to scan and view the Live results. You can also use the link below \n\n\n\nLive Results\n\n\n\nPhotography\n\n\n\nMatt Davenport will be on site over the weekend. DESCRIPTION:West Midlands Round 1 Draw – 2025 (11th Oct)\n\n\n\n\nThis weekend sees the first gala of the West Midlands Arena League season. Clubs from across the region will compete under the Arena League format\, with each team aiming to score in individual and relay events to accumulate points toward the league standings. The draw layout gives chances for deeper squads to challenge for places. \n\n\n\nFull slate of individual & relay events\n\n\n\nThe draw confirms a broad programme — from the sprint distances through to middle distance\, across all age categories. Relays will play a pivotal role\, often swinging the result in a tight gala. \n\n\n\nTactical depth matters\n\n\n\nGiven the structure\, clubs that have strong swimmers across multiple disciplines (not just one or two stars) will be better positioned to rack up more points. \n\n\n\nEarly momentum\n\n\n\nBeing Round 1\, teams will be keen to set a high benchmark\, both to gain confidence and to put pressure on rivals in later rounds.
