Performance Squad

Swimmers in the Performance Squad should ideally be at a Regional standard competitively, working towards Regional and/or National qualifications. Swimmers will also adopt the ‘athlete lifestyle’ further developing the behaviours outlined in the Optimal Athlete Development Framework (OADF).

Swimmers are required to attend 6 or more sessions per week, including morning sessions and 1 long course (50m) session. Swimmers are also required to attend Land Training sessions as timetabled and be self sufficient in completing pre and post pool.

Competing in 4 targeted meets alongside participation in County and Regional Championships is required, as well as representation in selected  galas. Events are guided by the Head Coach and will include 200IM and 400IM.
