Open Water
Open water swimming is a key skill for triathletes, as most races take place in lakes, rivers, or the sea rather than in pools. Unlike lane swimming, it requires adapting to changing conditions such as currents, waves, and varying visibility. Training focuses on sighting to stay on course, drafting to conserve energy, managing race-day nerves, and practicing mass starts with other swimmers.
Our open water sessions build confidence and familiarity with these environments, helping athletes translate pool skills into strong, efficient performance on race day.
