Future Stars serves as one of the primary entry points following the completion of Foundation Platinum, this squad offers young swimmers aged 8 and above a smooth transition into full competitive squad swimming. Designed with flexibility in mind, the program accommodates busy schedules by recommending an accessible attendance of 1 to 2 training sessions per week. This manageable commitment allows developing athletes to steadily build their skills and confidence without overwhelming their routine.
At the core of the squad’s training is a heavy emphasis on refining fundamental stroke mechanics and essential race execution. Swimmers focus on developing efficient, legal technique across all four strokes over 25m and 50m distances. Training sessions prioritize critical race components, including tight streamlines, effective underwater kick-outs, competitive starts, and legal turn execution and relay takeovers, ensuring each athlete masters the mechanical building blocks necessary for long-term progression.
Beyond physical technique, the squad introduces foundational training habits and early competitive opportunities. Swimmers learn pool discipline by learning how to read and navigate using a pace clock during sets. They also gain valuable racing experience by competing in the annual Club Championships and representing the club in league galas upon selection, helping them build competitive confidence in a supportive team environment.
