Regional Development Squad

Swimmers in the Regional Development Squad should be working toward or at a Regional Standard, with a minimum of 4 County Qualification times (including 200 IM), as well as high levels of competence in their skills. Swimmers will begin to adopt behaviours from the Optimal Athlete Development Framework (OADF).

They should attend a minimum of 5 sessions in the week and take part in Land Training sessions if eligible.

Swimmers should be prepared to compete in 4 targeted meets in the season (can include County and Regional Championships) as well as representation in galas. Events  at open meets to be guided by the relevant coach and will include 200IM.

The OADF behaviours to be developed in this squad include and are not limited to:
