From Sandwell to the World Cup
Sandwell Aquatics is proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from one of our own.
Coach Terri Halstead has been selected as Team Manager for the Great Britain Senior Men’s squad at the upcoming World Cup in Malta, 07-13 April 2026. It’s a well-deserved opportunity and a real testament to the commitment, knowledge and leadership Terri brings to the sport.
Being appointed to a role at this level is no small milestone. It reflects years of dedication, not just to developing athletes, but to supporting teams, building environments where players can perform at their best, and contributing to the wider success of the sport. Those who work with Terri at Sandwell will recognise the same qualities that have led to this international call-up: organisation, calm leadership and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
As Team Manager, Terri will play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs smoothly so the players and coaches can focus fully on performance. It’s a position that demands attention to detail, strong communication and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced international environment.
The Great Britain squad will prepare with a training camp in Barcelona before heading into a challenging tournament, where they will face strong opposition including China, Neutral Athletes B and Montenegro. It promises to be a high-level competition and a valuable experience for everyone involved.

We wish Terri every success in Malta and look forward to hearing all about the experience on return.
